Vita
Klaus H. Goetz hat seit dem 1. April 2013 den Lehrstuhl für Politische Systeme und Europäische Integration am Geschwister-Scholl-Institut für Politikwissenschaft der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in München inne. Zuvor leitete er seit 2006 den Lehrstuhl “Politik und Regieren in Deutschland und Europa” an der Universität Potsdam.
Klaus H. Goetz hat in Tübingen, an der University of Massachusetts und an der London School of Economics (LSE) Italianistik und Politikwissenschaften studiert. Nach seiner Promotion am Nuffield College der Universität Oxford lehrte und forschte er am Nuffield College, an der Deutschen Hochschule für Verwaltungswissenschaften in Speyer und zwischen 1992 und 2006 als Lecturer, Senior Lecturer und Reader am Department of Government der LSE. Verschiedene Gastprofessuren führten ihn an das Sciences Po Bordeaux, das European Forum der Hebrew University, das European University Institute in Florenz, die Universität Tokio und die Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
Klaus H. Goetz war Leiter und Kooperationspartner in verschiedenen internationalen Forschungsprojekten, u.a. zu Themen der Zeitlichkeit der Europäischen Union (gemeinsam mit J.-H. Meyer Sahling) sowie zur Steuerung der Gesetzgebung durch die Regierungen in Mittelosteuropa (gemeinsam mit R. Zubek). Zurzeit forscht er in einem DFG-Projekt über versetzte Wahlen und Zeithorizonte Zweiter Kammern und in einem weiteren DFG-Projekt zu Zeitregeln in Internationalen Organisationen.
Klaus H. Goetz ist seit 2000 Mitherausgeber der Zeitschrift West European Politics und seit 2012 Mitglied des Executive Committee des European Consortium of Political Research – ECPR. Er war Gründungssprecher des DFG-Graduiertenkollegs WIPCAD an der Universität Potsdam.
